December is shaping up to be a solid month for air miles rewards hunters—barring a Mayan apocalypse in 11 days, boosting your air miles war chest with the right credit card seems a sure-fire way to get a "free" vacation early next year.

Here are a couple of the new credit card deals on Outlaw's radar:

1) Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard (10,000 Bonus Miles) - This newcomer is a worthy competitor for established high end travel rewards credit cards out there, including Chase Sapphire and Capital One Venture Rewards. You'll earn "10,000 bonus miles if you make $1,000 or more in purchases in the first 90 days from account opening. 10,000 bonus miles equates to $100 off your next trip." Apply online here. The card also comes with 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 12 months after account opening, plus no mileage caps and no foreign transaction fees.

2) Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage Visa Signature (Up to 50,000 Bonus Miles) - This is a great deal for those who have been meaning to sign up for an American Airlines credit card offer, but have been waiting for the right promotion. This card is now offering up to 50,000 bonus AAdvantage miles. Previously, new cardholders were offered up to 30,000 bonus miles, so this is a considerable boost. Other cardholder benefits include: first checked bag free, Priority boarding, $100 flight discount, double miles earning opportunity, and more. Apply online here.

Also, although this isn't a new deal, the Capital One Venture Rewards card remains popular with Outlaw's readers. The card has no foreign transaction fees (in fact, no Capital One credit card has a foreign transaction fee schedule, which is awesome for travelers). It also gives 10,000 bonus miles after spending $1k within the first three months. Read user reviews and apply online here.
